Dr. Ahmad Najib Azmi is a senior Consultant Gastroenterologist and Internal Medicine Specialist with more than two decades of experience in caring for patients with digestive and liver disorders. He is currently based at Prince Court Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur, where he provides specialized care in areas such as stomach and bowel problems, liver diseases, and endoscopic procedures like gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr. Najib began his medical journey at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), where he earned his medical degree. He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine at the University of Malaya, and later subspecialised in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. His advanced training also included time at the Ajou University Hospital, South Korea and Kyushu University Hospital, Japan where he gained further expertise in complex endoscopic techniques and liver care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Najib has treated a wide range of conditions, including acid reflux (GERD), gastric ulcers, abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), colon cancer screening, fatty liver disease, hepatitis B and C, gastrointestinal bleeding, and more.

He is highly skilled in performing both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and endoscopic polypectomy, which are important tools in helping patients to receive accurate diagnoses and treating digestive conditions early.

Dr. Najib is a life member of the Malaysian Society of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and a registered specialist with the National Specialist Register of Malaysia. He also contributes to various national and international research studies aimed at improving treatment for conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease, viral hepatitis B and C, fatty liver disease, liver and colorectal cancer.
